We love Jesus and love people
We believe the Bible is God’s means of revealing Himself to His people and teaching us how to come to Him and how to live. We embrace three key elements that the Bible teaches about the people of God that helps us understand who we are and what God desires for our church.
We believe in the Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God is God's rule over everything. His dominion is both heavenly and earthly, both historic and eternal. Romans 14:17 says, “the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” At New Covenant Church we are committed to obeying Jesus as His people, and to proclaiming the Kingdom of God to the ends of the Earth.
We believe in the Covenant of Jesus Christ
Throughout history God has related to His people through means of covenant. In ancient times, a covenant was a bond made in blood. God the Father has now and forever made a covenant with His people through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, at the cross (Hebrews 9:12). The covenant motivates us to seek God and to honor Christ by serving one another in such a way that emulates His self-sacrificial love for us.
We believe in God's Mission of Restoration
The Bible teaches that after His resurrection, Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, where he rules and will continue to do so until the restoration of all things (Acts 3:18-21). By living in obedience to His Lordship and speaking out for righteousness, we serve Him and His purpose for His creation, so that the whole world would be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God (Habakkuk 2:14).
