Grow

We want you to grow spiritually.

That means that your relationship with God deepens and that your faith grows as you seek God. We want you to really know God, know other people in the church, and be known as a valued co-laborer together. This can only happen through the gospel (aka "the good news") of Jesus Christ.

If you don't know the gospel, please click here to see a video about the good news of Jesus Christ.

The gospel is the absolute foundation of the Christian faith.

We value worship, Bible, relationship, community, and work together as means of honoring God and helping people. Our motto is:

LOVE JESUS, LOVE PEOPLE

Because that's what Jesus taught us.

[Jesus is asked] “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:36–39

Because we love Jesus, we want to obey His commandments. He told us to tell others about Him and the salvation offered through His gospel.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18–20

We're committed to discipleship.

Discipleship is the process of learning about Jesus, growing in faith, demonstrating that faith in action, and doing so in relationship with others. Relationship is essential to us because God has made His church to be the community that demonstrates His love, rule, and grace while proclaiming truth.

This doesn't mean that we're prefect; it means that we are dependent upon Christ and upon His grace and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to honor God in our daily lives. It doesn't mean that our community is perfect, either. But it does mean that, by the grace of God, we are trusting Jesus despite our imperfections and leaning on Him to enable and help us to love others well.

What does that mean for you?

It means that we invite you to know God, to find peace with God through His gospel, to enter into friendship with us, and to build with us while we engage in His mission to disciple others.
