The Mission - Acts 2:42-27

Luke, the writer of the book of Acts, described the early church as they met from house to house; Luke writes, ". . . and everyone kept feeling a sense of Awe." (Acts 2:43)

How did all of this 'Awe' come about? The secret was Small Groups! Small groups are an integral part of the church. Luke unfolds each element of this life-changing dynamic in Acts, chaper 2, verse 42:

Bible Study "... and they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching"
Fellowship "... and all those who believed were together and had all things in common"
Breaking of Bread "... taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart"
Prayer "... and [continually devoting themselves] to prayer."
As the church gathered in homes for encouragement and equipping they were strengthened in their mission to transform the community by the grace of God. Home Groups continue to be a place of equipping and encouragement today as we experience the transforming power of Christ through His church.

So, when was the last time you felt a sense of Awe? You can become part of a Home Group and experience some awe in your life.
